The sixth edition of LVMH Watch Week traditionally takes place at the beginning of the year. With the next big event – Watches and Wonders 2025 – just around the corner, we want to review the new products that have already been released. We show you our TOP 5 timepieces that have already been presented and venture a look into the future and what watch fans can expect this year.

What is LVMH Watch Week?

LVMH Watch Week is a major event in the world of luxury watches organized by the LVMH Group, one of the largest luxury goods groups in the world. It attracts watch enthusiasts, collectors, and experts from all over the world and took place for the sixth time this year. Among the group’s most important watch brands are TAG Heuer, Hublot, Zenith, and Bvlgari, which once again presented their new products this year and came with a surprise or two. This year’s event took place in both New York and Paris and was largely well received by the watch community. Particularly enjoyable was the quality of the watches on display and the opportunity to interact directly with the designers and brand representatives.

LVMH Watch Week: The Most Exciting New Watches

There were plenty of new watches on show in both New York and Paris. I would like to show you the five watch novelties that I personally found the most interesting and that have particularly stuck in my mind.

Innovative and Bold: Hublot Big Bang MECA 10

Even though Hublot often has a hard time among watch enthusiasts, I wouldn’t leave this manufacturer off my personal list of LVMH innovations for 2025. What sets Hublot apart is that they dare to try new things and take a different approach to watches than the competition. With the Hublot Big Bang MECA 10 42 mm, Hublot brings back its innovative new creation from 2016 in a more compact form. Made from titanium, or “King Gold”, and carbon, the watch comes with a skeletonized dial that gives fans a generous  view of the elaborate in-house caliber from both the front and the back. The power reserve display is particularly striking and immediately catches the eye. The titanium version has a list price of $24,800.

Exclusive and Strictly Limited: Daniel Roth Extra Plat Souscription

Even though the Daniel Roth watch brand is not (yet) as popular as TAG Heuer or Hublot, it should not go unmentioned. This ultra-thin dress watch revived a piece of watch history at the LVMH Watch Week. The Daniel Roth Extra Plat Souscription is a modern reissue of the watch of the same name from 1990 and brings the design icon back into the present day. The 38.6 mm x 35.5 mm watch is elegantly designed and has a wafer-thin height of just 3.1 mm. The golden Daniel Roth Extra Plat Souscription is limited to 20 pieces and is available from a price of CHF 45,000, equivalent to just about $50,000

For Genta Fans: Zenith Defy Skyline Chronograph Skeleton

The Zenith Defy Skyline Chronograph Skeleton should be of particular interest to fans of Genta-inspired watches. With this sporty, luxurious timepiece, Zenith is expanding its popular Defy Skyline collection with a skeletonized version of the sporty octagonal all-rounder. The dial provides a direct view of the El Primero 3600SK, which has a power reserve of 60 hours and can of course also be admired from the back. A nice little extra is the included rubber strap, which can be swapped out quickly and easily without tools. The 42 mm steel chronograph is available with both a black and a blue dial and has a list price of $16,500.

Celebrating the Return to Formula 1: TAG Heuer Formula 1

Tag Heuer is returning to the premier class of motorsport in 2025 and replacing Rolex as the official timekeeper. The Swiss watch manufacturer is celebrating its return to Formula 1 with a new Formula 1 model. It comes in a 44 mm case made from titanium. Particularly interesting: The design is loosely reminiscent of earlier Formula 1 models from the eighties and nineties, but looks anything but old-fashioned or outdated. The watch has an automatic movement with chronograph function and date complication and is water-resistant to 200 meters. The sports chronograph is available in different colors. With a list price of $4,740, this Tag Heuer novelty is also interesting for watch novices. As a child of the eighties and a Formula 1 fan, the TAG Heuer Formula 1 is my personal favorite novelty of LVMH Watch Week 2025.

TAG Heuer for the Second Time: TAG Heuer Carrera Glassbox

Even though the TAG Heuer Carrera is often overshadowed by icons such as the Rolex Daytona or Omega Speedmaster, this timepiece stands for motorsport like no other – the same applies to the manufacturer, which has become famous with timeless chronographs such as the Heuer Monaco or the Heuer Carrera. That’s why I was particularly pleased to see the TAG Heuer Carrera Glassbox in a purple version. The 39 mm chronograph has a sophisticated design that exudes both sportiness and elegance. The dial has a gradient that captivates with a rich purple tone in the center and turns black towards the edge. The timeless watch is powered by the in-house TH 20-00 automatic caliber, which offers a power reserve of 80 hours. The list price is $6,800. The elegant sports chronograph is also available in a 42 mm version with tourbillon.

LVMH Watch Week 2025 – A Summary & Outlook for Watches and Wonders 2025

LVMH Watch Week 2025 was a great start for watch fans and gives me a positive outlook for the near future. After we saw many small chnages and model updates at last year’s Watches and Wonders, there could be a lot more surprises again this year. The purple dial of the TAG Heuer Carrera Glassbox could set off a new color trend in the watch industry after blue and green, and after the first presentation of the Sky-Dweller 15 years ago, I’m betting on a completely new Rolex sports model in 2025 that will once again cause a sensation. Watches and Wonders is taking place in just a few weeks, so we’ll find out soon enough.
