Inspiration, information, and entertainment – Instagram certainly makes it hard to put down your smartphone, particularly since the introduction of Stories. Our authors regularly search the platform for accounts making a splash – purely for research purposes, of course! With images of rare watches, the wardrobes of well-dressed gentlemen, nearly forgotten classic cars, and brilliant photography all around, we’ve selected four accounts that are worthy of your attention.
@wmbrownproject – by Matt Hranek
When it comes to watches these days, there’s no avoiding Matt Hranek – especially not if you’re active on Instagram and follow the trendiest accounts. Mr. Hranek cheekily describes himself as an “explorer, eater, and drinker” and is also the author of the popular book A Man and His Watch. If you follow Matt, you’ll not only get your fill of watches and vintage cars, but you’ll also get to see plenty of Negronis.
By the way: In June, Matt Hranek will be speaking at our third Get-Together, this time in New York City. You can register here now.
This menswear and lifestyle photographer lives in New York – which is why you’ll see plenty of pictures of the Big Apple among the fashion photos in his feed. He was also very active at this year’s Pitti Uomo and gave us some interesting insights into the exhibition. His lens focuses on some particularly well-matched outfits, and if you look closely, you’ll discover a watch or two on those wrists. Well done!

Due to his unique style, this Italian gentleman, creative director, and founder of the streetwear label “AS65” appears on many Instagram accounts as an example of proper living. His love for all things vintage goes beyond clothing and cars. He has a thoroughly impressive watch collection, which includes a Rolex Submariner 5512, a Patek Philippe Aquanaut, and a Tudor Oysterdate Big Block, among others. If that’s not inspiring or entertaining enough, Mr. Squarzi also delivers good vibes as a DJ in his Stories!

This account is definitely one of our favorites when it comes to Omega Speedmasters. Themasterofspeed’s passion began with his first Speedmaster purchase in 2005. He’s contributed to a few books about the popular Omega model, including Moonwatch Only: 60 Years of Omega Speedmaster. His attractive images of particularly rare models, such as the Snoopy or the reference 105.012, are sure to inspire some to go searching for their own tropical dials. His account isn’t just one wrist shot after another; instead, most of the Speedmasters are pictured lying on top of photographs or archival documents related to the Moonwatch – Just what the fans want to see!
